Heart of Louisiana,
also known as HeartLa,
is a professional
organization for published and unpublished authors.
The group offers support, encouragement and education to
aspiring writers of all
genres.
Monthly meetings include speakers on diverse topics, market news from the
publishing industry and camaraderie of other authors, both published and
unpublished.

apologizes to all who are waiting for a response from our Labor of Love
Contest. Due to unforeseeable circumstances the judging was delayed.
We will be
announcing our finalists the week of February 4.
We are
working on improvements for next year’s contest to ensure timely responses. We
thank all of your for your extreme patience and look forward to announcing our
winners soon.

Meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of the
month at the Bluebonnet Regional Library at 9200 Bluebonnet Boulevard.
Visitors are welcome to attend two meetings
before
joining.
HeartLa members must belong to RWA.

HeartLa was chartered by Cheryl Wolverton,
Sharon Elliott and Vallerie Meyer.
The first organizational meeting was held in May of 1992.
The Chapter was incorporated in June of 1992 with thirteen charter members.
